The carburization of carburizer is carried out by the dissolution and diffusion of carbon in molten iron. When the carbon content of the iron-carbon alloy is 2.1%, the graphite in the graphite recarburizer can be directly dissolved in molten iron. The direct solution of non-graphite carburizer is almost non-existent, but with the passage of time, the carbon gradually diffuses and dissolves in the molten iron. The carburizing rate of graphite recarburizer is significantly higher than that of non-graphite recarburizer.
Graphite electrode carburization efficiency is faster, in the furnace smelting, the general absorption rate of about 85%. The stronger the stirring of molten iron, the higher the carburization efficiency, which can reach 90% at 1450℃.
