The overall output of China’s graphite electrodes in 2019 will mainly increase first and then decrease. The overall trend rose from January to April, and output declined slightly in May and June but did not change much. Production began to decline month by month in July. From January to November 2019, the total amount of graphite electrodes in China was 742,600 tons, an increase of 108,500 tons or 17.12% over the previous year. Among them, the ordinary total amount is 122.5 million tons, a decrease of 24,600 tons from the same period of last year, a decrease of 16.7%; the total amount of high power is 215.2 million tons, an increase of 29,900 tons, an increase of 16.12%; the ultra-high total amount is 400,480 tons, Compared with the same period of last year, it increased by 103,200 tons, an increase of 34.2%. It is expected that the total output of China’s graphite electrode market in 2019 will be about 800,000 tons, an increase of about 14.22% compared with 2018.

The main influencing factor of output decline is that prices have fallen and exports have weakened. After the end of the Spring Festival in 2019, China’s graphite electrode prices fell sharply. However, due to the impact of the production cycle, the pre-processed products were released in March and April, and the output increased. Subsequently, small and medium-sized graphite electrode companies successively controlled the production rhythm or even stopped production. the Lord. In June, driven by the export market of ultra-large and large-size graphite electrodes, the output of ultra-high and large-size graphite electrodes began to increase, but the market for ordinary and high-power graphite electrodes did not pay much attention and the output fell. After the National Day ended, the export of ultra-high and large-size graphite electrodes began to decline, and shipments were blocked, mainly because the early procurement of Middle Eastern countries had reached expectations, so the procurement was stopped. Subsequently, the output of ultra-high and large specifications began to decrease.
