What are the uses of graphite electrodes
1. For electric arc steelmaking furnace
Graphite electrode is mainly used for electric furnace steelmaking. Electric furnace steelmaking uses the graphite electrode to lead electric flow into the furnace. The powerful current generates arc discharge through gas at the lower end of the electrode, and uses the heat generated by the electric arc to smelt.
2. For submerged arc furnace
Graphite electrode submerged arc furnace is used to produce ferroalloy, pure silicon, yellow phosphorus, matte and calcium carbide.
3. For resistance furnace
The graphitization furnace for producing graphite products, the melting furnace for melting glass and the electric furnace for producing silicon carbide are all resistance furnaces. The raw materials in the furnace are not only the ironing resistor, but also the target of heating.
4. For machining
Many graphite electrode burrs are also used to produce and process various crucibles, graphite boat dishes, hot die casting molds, vacuum electric furnace heaters and other commodities.
