Short Description:

Graphite petroleum coke is widely used as a carbon enhancer in the steel making and precision casting industries, as a breeder in the foundry industry, as a reducing agent in the metallurgical industry and as a refractory material. Graphite petroleum coke can promote the nucleation of graphite in the iron solution, increase the amount of ductile iron and improve the organisation and grade of grey cast iron. Through micro structure observation, graphite petroleum coke has the following characteristics: First, the ferrite content of ductile iron can be greatly increased without the use of pearlite stabilizers; Second, the proportion of V-shaped and VI-shaped graphite can be increased during use; Third, compared with improving the shape of the nodular ink, a substantial increase in the amount of nodular ink can reduce the use of expensive nucleating agents in later fine-tuning, resulting in significant cost savings.
